Budget Travel Ideas in Zell am See
Edit ThisThe town of Zell am See is nestled among green and white
mountains and sits upon the shores a spectacular and ancient glacial
lake. With a population of more than ten thousand residents, Zell am See is
open year round and is a resort for European skiing tourists. A few
kilometers away are the beautiful peaks of the Hohe Tauern Range, which
stand as sentries protecting and looking down over this splendid little
city. Any traveler setting his sights on Zell am See as a getaway
will need to know where the deals are and how to receive those.
Every
traveler wants to save a few Euros, and one of the best ways is to visit
Krimml from September to mid-April and enjoy the same misty shower as
all the others, except this time it's free. If the travel plans have the
entire vacationing gang arriving in Zell am See in the dead of summer
heat, then just arrive at the ticket window at Krimml before 8:00 a.m.
and you will be let into the park absolutely free. The Euros you save can be put back in your pocket or spent at some of
the beautiful local boutiques that most ski resorts are well known for.
The Krimml Waterfalls can't be missed, as it's a relatively
inexpensive day at one of the most majestic waterfalls in
the world. Day trips are popular to this natural attraction, with more than 500,000 yearly visitors climbing the steep, ragged-staired
climb of the waterfalls. There are three waterfalls in all. The
Krimml Cleves glacier feeds the Krimml River, which then winds down
through the alpine pastures before descending into the
beautiful valley below. Sounds like a postcard doesn’t it?
There's nothing in the way of trash or garbage ever seen in the town or surrounding areas. It's as if the people got together one night and had a vote, no littering, ever. The vote passed and if the traveler wants to do something a little out of the ordinary yet fun no less, take up the seek-and-find job for trash pickup while enjoying the day in Zell. It may take all day to find one cup, one straw.
