Zell am See is a ski resort in the Austrian Alps, not far from Salzburg. Salzburg has a lot to offer the interested tourists, including the Hohensalzburg fortress. It is also the place where Mozart was born, and an industry has grown up around the musician and his works. Most likely there will be a concert or music festival in his honour, no matter when your visit occurs. Salzburg also offers ‘Sound of Music’ tours that take tourists to the places filmed for the movie. Return to Zell am See in time to eat and enjoy one of the village's many bars.

Visit the Tower and go into the folklore museum. Afterwards, visit St Hippolyte’s Church and marvel at the beautiful medieval statues.

Go to Kaprun and visit the 12th century castle built by Italians. Take time to see the amazing water reservoir. Or, enjoy the beauty of Lake Zell with an attractive cruise; it is also possible to take a cable car up to the top of the Schmittenhohe Mountains. Pack your bags and get plenty of rest for your trip home.
