Nightlife in Yerevan is varied. There are numerous bars, pubs, discos and nightclubs. On the road to Echmiadzin there is a strip of small casinos.
You can eat really great everywhere, which also is the most favourite way of going out with armenians. The only real bar kinds of things are Cheers on Sakharov Square, and the Irish Pub on sayat nova. The incrowd that goes dancing is not really big, you'll recognize most people soon. Three popular places to g dancing are Relax, Cheers and Bunker. The place to hang out is Red Bar, but the disco there is not very popular

Edit ThisA huge building in soviet neoclassical style where also other forms of entertainment are performed. Tickets are cheap and even if there is a show in Armenian, it is nice to have a look inside.

Stoyka Bar
Edit ThisStoyka disco-pub is the only real western-style bar in Yerevan. The bar is open everynight, with great music and drinks and very energetic and "live" staff. You can find all the major drinks and cocktails of the world here, including a big variety of beers. People who visit the bar are expats, tourists, local and diasporan armenians. The place is open everyday at 7:00 pm till 3:00 4:00 or even till 5:00 am sometimes. It's the only disco-bar that stays late, where other places are closed. Friday and saturday night are always packed with people and are not effected by other parties more..

Relax
Edit ThisRelax moved to its new home at the basement of the new build "Citadel Bussines Centre". It remains one of the most popular clubs.
It looks like a brand new western club with a huge bar and excelent sound, but it kept its style as the core of the night-life in Yerevan.
Very good resident and guest DJs, good food and you can really have a good party in there. Like all disco's in Yerevan, if you come in and it seems empty, there's probably a party going on somehere else (try Astral or Club One), but otherwise this is the place to be. starts at 22:00/23:00 and more..

Edit ThisBunker club is one of the three places to go dancing, and it has a great lounge upstairs. It is a bit expensive, but people are a bit more upclass usually. Good DJ, often a special party, nice atmosphere

Safari Club
Edit ThisDisco bar/strip club just of Republic square. Pretty nice one, good prices. You can change for 1-dollar bills at the waitress. Don't be afraid, stripclubs are common way of going out in the former soviet union, and you can even go with some female friends(but be carefull with that, depends on the lady).
