Jermuk is a famous spa town that people from all over the USSR would come to for treatment and a soak.  It is now just starting to reclaim its days of glory, as old sanatoriums are completely gutted and reopened.  The natural setting has never lost its allure though and it is rumored to be the site of new ski lifts.  With that Jermuk will become a well deserved year round destination.
