Armenia lies in the Caucasus, and perhaps not surprisingly, Armenians are Caucasian. Armenia also has one of the most homogeneous populations in the world, with about 99% of the population being ethnically Armenian. People almost universally identify with the Armenian Church as a matter of national identity, though only a handful attend church with regularity.
