Day Trips in Kotayk Marz

One of the most popular day trips in Armenia is heading of from Yerevan to see Garni and Geghard - a trip that usually takes 5 hours.

Another great day trip - but requiring a car or taxi, is driving up to Arzni (a Soviet spa town), then driving along the Hrazdan from there to Bjni (beautiful setting, old cathedral and fortress ruins), then continuing up to Makravan Monastery in the hills just behind Hrazdan City, then stop by Tsaghkadzor (ski lifts, Kecharis Monastery) and possibly continue to Hankavan where you can enjoy the hot springs.
