Edit This

To help ensure that you know the best places to sleep and the activities that you can’t miss, you will want to use this Andorra la Vella Travel Guide. Andorra la Vella is located in the Pyrenees Mountain Range and is the capital of Andorra. Andorra la Vella relies heavily on the tourism industry, and with all of the outdoor activities that the Pyrenees Mountains provide it is easy to understand why.

Being that Andorra la Vella relies heavily on tourism there are plenty of hotels in the area to choose from. With this many hotels it can be difficult finding the perfect hotel for your stay. If you are looking for a decent hotel for a reasonable price you will want to check out the Acta Art Hotel where rooms start at $94 a night. The Andorra Park Hotel is a bit pricier because rooms start around $214 a night.

Things To Do

While staying in Andorra la Vella one of the obvious activities is skiing or hiking, depending on which time of year you are visiting. Aside from that, one of the things that you simply can’t miss is a trip to Caldea. Caldea is the largest and most popular spa in Europe, so when you visit make sure you go one day during the week. Three hours inside the spa is going to cost $42, but you can stay longer if you wish to pay an extra $2 for each 15 minutes.

Eating Out

Most hotels have in-house restaurants, but it is still nice to get out and see what else the town has to offer. One restaurant to try is Versailles, which is known for its authentic French cuisine. The only drawback to the place is the rather short wine list. If you enjoy Mediterranean food you will want to check out El Ginjol. In addition to the excellent service, the food is also outstanding; make sure you try the tapas.

Once night falls things in the small town of Andorra la Vella start to happen. If you are looking for a great place to drink beer you will want to check out Cerveseria l’Albadia because they have eight beers on tap and more to choose form in bottles. If you feel like dancing the night away after a drink or two you should head on over to La Borsa. The unique feature about this place is that the price of drinks varies based on how many drinks of that type have been consumed. To find the going price simply look at the computer-controlled screen near the bar.

Getting Around

Once you are in the town of Andorra la Vella you will be able to walk to just about everything in the section where you are staying. If you want to go from the old section to the new section the local bus is recommended, but if you opt to walk it will only take about 30 minutes to get from one area to the next. If you plan to go skiing you will need to take the “snow” bus up to the local ski resorts. The bus fare ranges from $1.25 to $3.75, depending on where you are going.
