Andorra la Vella has a population of almost 23,000 residents with a mix of ethnic backgrounds. About 33 percent of the people are native Andorrans, which makes them a minority in their own town. All native Andorrans are actually Catalans born in Andorra. The rest of the population is Spanish (43 percent), Portuguese (11 percent) and French (7 percent). This colorful combination explains the fact that all 4 languages are spoken in Andorra la Vella, although Catalonian is considered the official language.

Andorra has no official currency or its own, so the currency used in Andorra la Vella is the Euro. Since this currency is used by all major European countries, it can be easily bought or exchanged in nearly any country in Europe. However, exchanging money in one of the banks in Andorra la Vella is a much better option, since you can get some of the best exchange rates. All major credit cards are accepted as well.
