Eating Out in Andorra
Edit ThisVisit Els dos Caçadors Restaurant in Andorra la Vella
There are several Andorra la Vella restaurants that are popular with both tourists and locals alike. One of the better ones is the Els dos Caçadors restaurant on Plaça Rebés, right in the center of Andorra la Vella.
Atmosphere
The restaurant is situated inside a marvelous stone building and tries to imitate the look of a hunting lodge. In fact "Els dos Caçadors" means "The Two Hunters" in Catalan. As you enter the restaurant, you’ll see a large bar surrounded by many bar stools and a dining room with a total of 15 tables. The atmosphere is warm, and the interior is lovely, although the stone walls make it a bit dark. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Cuisine
Els dos Caçadors is known for its incredible cuisine. The restaurant serves many Spanish and French dishes and also offers traditional Andorran cuisine. If you want to experience the latter, order Trinxat as a starter. It is a cake made of potatoes and cabbage. Escudella, stewed chicken, sausages and meatballs, is a good choice for a main dish. Try Coques for dessert, which are cakes made of wheat flour, sugar and eggs. You can complement the dishes with some excellent local wine or tasty Andorran beer.
