. Will English get you out of trouble?

YES, with anyone under 30. With older people try Italian and your chances of getting around will increase dramatically, well, virtually everyone in town speaks Italian anyway.

. Where to stay?

-Anything along the coast would be a great idea. It should not take you long to scout around for a hotel/hostal. Most of them will have access to a semi private cove/beach and restaurant/bar and offer great hospitality.

. Can you pay in Euros?

YES, and you will be very welcome. Although, if you need to stop by and grab a bite or drink you had better have some LEK change, which in most cases your hotel staff will be able to facilitate at a daily exchange rate.

. What is public transport like?

A major NO-NO. But, there is a pretty convenient mini van service which you can stop on the road and which will drive you anywhere around the local coast.
