This new 8-day itinerary combines the rest and relaxation of a beach holiday with half day trips out to the highlights of Southern Albania. Such sites include the impressive ruins of Butrinti. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Butrinti has been the site of a Greek colony, a Roman city and a Bishopric. We also include a visit to the well-preserved Ottoman town of Gjirokastra, also known as the birthplace of Enver Hoxha, Albania’s former communist leader.
