Maho Bay
Saint Martin is a paradise for beach goers of all ages. Maho Bay is a beach that is probably unlike any other beach you have been to before. It sits at the end of the Queen Juliana Airport landing strip. You can sunbathe and watch the planes come in overhead. It really is quite an awesome and thrilling experience. The airplanes are huge and feel very close.
Mount Vernon Plantation
Mount Vernon Plantation is an eighteenth century restored traditional island plantation. Friendly tour guides uncover the secrets of making rum and roasted coffee. This beautifully maintained working farm is one of the few historic sites on Saint Martin.
Lottery Farm
B.J. is the owner of the fantastic Lottery Farm in Saint Martin. There is an abundance of plants and wildlife to enjoy here. Look closely to see parrots, monkeys, iguanas and enchanting humming birds in their natural habitats. Take deep breaths here and relish in the songs of nature, far away from the resort crowds. Kids love the new zip line. At the beginning of the walk to the farm, there is one cozy restaurant that has a jazz band on the weekends during the high season.
Butterfly Farm
Surround yourself with delicate creatures at the Butterfly Farm in Saint Martin. You will be thrilled with the brilliant color patterns on these enchanting insects. Huge mesh enclosures make this butterfly experience possible. Hundreds of exotic butterfly species flit and flutter freely in a lush and picturesque landscape. Binoculars and an extra camera battery are the perfect things to bring here.
Philipsburg
Philipsburg in Saint Martin makes the most of its small area. Larger hotels are not allowed to build here because the government of Saint Martin is trying to preserve the look of this historic harbor. The duty-free shopping is extensive with everything from handbags to electronics. Get out of the sun for a minute and try your luck in one of the many casinos. You can find a variety tempting restaurants serving French, Creole, Indian and Chinese cuisine.
