[edit this]San Juan can be reached from many places in the United States with non stop flights, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York and Orlando. Major airlines from the United States include American, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, Northwest, Pan Am and United.
JetBlue, Continental and Atlantic Southeast also fly to Aguadilla, on the west coast. Those three airlines also reach Ponce, in the South.
American Eagle, Caribbean Star, Caribbean Sun and LIAT are among the airlines that fly to the rest of the Caribbean, and American offers mainline service to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and Caracas, Venezuela.
Iberia has daily, non stop Boeing 747 or Airbus 340 flights from Madrid, Spain, ahile Copa operates modern 737 service to Panama, the rest of Central America and to South America.
Traditional service to countries like France, England, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, Colombia and Mexico has been suspended, but with San Juan airport expansion and ongoing business talks with China, some of these are expected to return soon.
American Eagle and Vieques Air Link offer domestic flights, to destinations like Ponce, Mayaguez, Fajardo, Vieques and Culebra.
