From St Eustatius to London (via St Maarten) is 12 hours to Los Angeles is 9 hours to New York is 5 hours and to Singapore is 33 hours (these will vary considerably depending on connections).
International airport
FD Roosevelt (EUX) 1km (0.6 miles) from Oranjestad is served by daily scheduled flights from St Kitts & Nevis from St Maarten four times daily (flight time – 30 minutes) and from Saba. The runway is too small for international jets.
Departure tax:
US$5 to Netherlands Antilles US$10 for international departures.
Sea
A 900m-long (3000ft) deep-water pier at Oranjestad can accommodate ocean liners. Small boats operate to the other islands in the Leeward Group; the 21km (13-mile) trip to Saba takes about two hours.
