Eating Out in Jamaica

Besides the obvious choice of rum, Jamaica has a pair of fantastic beverages that any visitor should consume in abundance.

On the alcoholic side, Red Stripe is a fantastic locally-brewed beer. It's incredibly popular - if you take any sort of surface transportation you'll notice signs just about everywhere advertising it - and for good reason!

On the soft drink side, look out for Ting. Ting is a grapefruit soda... think Sprite, but fruitier and with a bit more kick to it. It's fantastic, and it's made fresh of real Jamican grapefruit without any preservatives. Just be aware that it doesn't travel very well, so drink up while you're still in Jamaica!
