Hotel El Rancho

The El Rancho Hotel is located in Petion-Ville, next to the La Villa Creole Hotel, above the city of Port-au-Prince.  This is a nice hotel by U.S. standards.  By contrast, it is one of the nicest hotels in Port-au-Prince.  Service at the front desk during our stay was very good.  Service in the Casino was very good.  Service in the restaurants, however, was slow to very slow (as it is in all restaurants in Haiti).  Rooms are comfortable with good A/C and refrigerators.  Breakfast and Internet was included in our room rate.  Internet can be very, very slow.  Water in the hotel is potable and safe.  There are two very nice pools and nice views of the mountains above Port-au-Prince.  This hotel is approved by the U.S. Embassy.
