The new international airport El Catey at Samana is open.
You can see more at the website www.elcatey.com. You can find flight schedules at companies that fly to el Catey, in Samana next to Las Terrenas.
el Catey international airport is 35 minutes from Las Terrenas by car. To Samana city takes you by car also around 35-40 minutes.
The airport is open since november 2006. In decembier 2007 American airlines opened a daily flight from New York to El Catey via Puerto Rico.
