Edit This

Spending your holiday in the Dominican Republic should be an experience of a lifetime. Make sure to check out these Boca Chica must do's to make the most of your vacation.

Snorkeling & Swimming

Boca Chica is home to the Caribbean's largest protected reef. This makes Boca Chica a top place to snorkel, with waters that are clearer, warmer and calmer than any other place in the Caribbean. You will be amazed at the underwater life in Boca Chica. Some call Boca Chica Beach the "swimming pool of the sea." This beach can get crowded on the weekends, but if you go on a Monday morning you might just find yourself all alone on this amazing beach.

Nightlife

You can find plenty of nightlife on Calle Duarte, which is a street in Boca Chica. The early nightlife is from 7-11pm, when you will find that the street has been closed down to pedestrians only. The restaurants are completely open and even have tables set up in the streets. By midnight the restaurants are closed, and most of the families and older tourists are gone, but will find several bars and nightclubs open. In fact, the parties are usually spilling into the street. Most of the nightlife will start to calm down around 4am. The nightclubs and bars are known to be safe and patrolled by the local police.

Visit Santo Domingo

Santo Domingo is only an hour away, and you will find a wide variety of things to do there. Santo Domingo has great shopping, dining, discos and casinos. You can also visit several cultural and historic sites.

Jeep Safari

The jeep safari tour is a must do while in The Dominican Republic. You will travel through beach towns all around the island and incredible nature park. This is a trip that shouldn't be missed if you really want to see the island, but keep in mind that you might see some very underprivileged areas. Tourists tend to throw candy to the children, but the town prefers you give the children toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Catamaran

Book a catamaran ride and enjoy spending some time out on the Caribbean Sea. The ride will include lunch or appetizers and drinks, and some of the catamaran rides will even stop to let you swim or snorkel. If you happen to be on a catamaran that makes a pit stop, take advantage of it and enjoy a quick swim.
