Aruba Antique & Culture Heritage Museum
Edit ThisThis museum contains a private antique collection of the world reknown collector Juan Mario Odor.
He was the first amateur arceologist on the island who als owns a impressive collection of native art works: beads, rests of pottery, etc.
He also made a copilation of sand and stones of the island of Aruba, which make all nature lovers feel almost nostalgic abou how are we going to preserve and protect the nature resources mother nature produced. But most of this collection consists of furniture, photographs and local paintngs. A lot of the furnitures have a perfect style to coombine qith a certain period in Aruba's history. Even furniture made out of local trees, such as the kwihi. Product of the aloe cultivation and a lot of tools from around turn of the 20th century. This museum is the prefect representation of a remote Aruba, that does not exist anymore. But it is a true work of love to keep protect Aruba's culture, history and language through the museum of Antique and culture heritage.
