Location
Fuerte Amador is located in the country of Panama, bordered by Costa Rica to the north and Columbia to the south. The Fuerte Amador peninsula sits at the entrance of the Panama Canal on the Pacific Ocean side. Fuerte Amador is located at 8.9 degrees latitude, and 79.6 degrees longitude, roughly 2.2 miles from Panama City and 1.6 miles from the Panama Canal.

Currency
The official currency of Panama is the Panamanian Balboa (B) which is divided into 100 centesimos. The coins that are used are the B1, B10, 50, 25, 10, 5, and 1 centesimos. Language
The official language of Panama is Spanish, and approximately 14 percent of the population speaks English. It is very common for Panamanians to be bilingual in Spanish and English.

It is estimated that 85 percent of the Panama population is Roman Catholic, while 15 percent is Protestant.
