There is a wide range of accommodation to chose from in Tegucigalpa -Honduras' mountain capital and largest city.
One can choose from shoe-string accomodation for a few bucks in the inner city, budget guesthouses and bed & breakfasts in nicer and safer suburbs, to top international hotels.
Generally you get what you pay for in terms of cleanliness and safety.
Some budget guesthouses and bed and breakfasts are extremely good value for money - offering personal safety and great friendly service, but shop around on line (google search for example) and find out what others say.
Like in the rest of Honduras, accomodation in Tegucigalpa is hardest to find for Semana Santa - Easter Week, when bookings need to be made well in advance.
