Zunil

Located at the unpaved road from Quetzaltenango via Almolonga and the paved highway from Quetzaltenango via Cantel. It is a picturesque little town dominated by an old white church with a beautifully ornate fa ade. This is one of the few towns where MAXIMON, the pagan deity, is revered with pomp and ceremony.
