Hotels in Guatemala
Edit ThisLooking for Antigua Guatemala Hotels is just like looking for any other hotel because you have to do your research. Knowing what to expect from a hotel makes it easier to choose a hotel that you can be happy with, but it can also tell you which hotels you need to avoid.
Hotel Casa Rustica
If you are staying at this hotel one thing you need to know is that the hotel does not have a bar or restaurant, but they do offer you a kitchen to use. If you are looking to work while on vacation or just want to stay in touch with family back home you can take advantage of the free Wi-Fi that the hotel offers. If you want a private bathroom you will need to request that in advance because some of the bathrooms are shared. Rooms here start around $51 a night.
Quinta de las Flores
This hotel is located away from all of the noise of the city because it is located on the outskirts of town. Even though it is located on the edge of town you are still only a 15-minute walk from the town square. The hotel gardens are one of the best features because of how well they are maintained. The hotel also offers a nice pool for guests to use, but it is very rarely being used. Rooms are an average of $95 a night.
Casa Florencia Hotel
One of the most outstanding features of this hotel is the rooms that they offer. The rooms are very simply furnished, but they are larger than many of the rooms offered by luxury hotels in town. Although the hotel does not offer Free Wi-Fi in each room, guests can use a computer at the front desk until 10 p.m. The hotel is only about four blocks away from the “Arch,” and several great restaurants. Rooms begin at $55 a night.
Cissus Boutique Hotel
Although this hotel is a bit higher priced than other hotels in town, it is definitely worth the price. Aside from having great staff and beautifully decorated rooms and grounds coming back to the hotel each night is like coming back to your own home. The hotel serves breakfast each morning, but the best part is the breakfast is served on your own private terrace rather than in a dining room. Rooms begin around $152 a night.
Posada del Angel
This is one of the higher priced hotels in town, but if you are looking to be treated like royalty, this is the place to go. While staying here the one thing you have to do is enjoy the rooftop deck, whether it is for cocktails in the evening or the morning for breakfast, the view is great. The hotel is located only four blocks from the city center, but it is located in a quieter part of town so it seems like you are further away. Rooms average $278 a night.
