La Gastroteca
Edit ThisThis is the finest new restaurant in all of Guatemala City! The young chef, Jose Luis, is capable and creative with his well-rounded menu. It is a delight to discover, but there is limited seating so reserve or arrive early.
The menu degustation is an excellent value ($22) and his wine list is very discerning.

La Barraca de Don Pepe
Edit ThisSpanish International Cuisine. The Best Paella in Guatemala, actually known better as "Paella de La Reina" or "The Queen´s Paella". Music, shows and different activities from Wednesdays to Fridays after 7.30 pm. Great Tapas, shrimp, cayos a la Madrileña and the original Chorizo al vino. Free Parking.

El Tapeo
Edit ThisThis is one of the least-known, best restaurants in Guatemala City in the Zona Viva. His tortilla espanola is one of the best in the city, and Luis will prepare a fine paella with advance notice.
A special treat are the papas de la casa and entrecote.
