Bars and Cafes in Coban
Edit ThisPast visitors to Coban have often asked ¨What is there to do around here at night?¨ And the answer was quite often ¨not much.¨ Recently there has been some surgence of Cobanerian nightlife which has begun to make this small city more of a destination than just a stop over.

Cafe el Tirol
Edit ThisThis is a cute little cafe right on central park. Its easy to miss because it is down a little driveway, right across from La Posada Hotel. But for this same reason the cafe gives the advantage of outdoor seating without having to be right on the street. This cafe is owner-operated and offers a unique and wide selection of coffee drinks. The food is not the greatest, but it is a nice place for travellers to get info and mix with locals and other travellers.

Bokatas
Edit ThisBokatas is a popular bar among middle and upper class local youth. They serve mostly beers and bottled drinks. Not much wine selection and a limited cocktail menu. They are about two blocks from the Central Park in Coban which makes it a convenient location and is a good place to check out local bar culture. The food is Spanish/Mediterranean and receives much praise in town, but many have been known to get sick from eating dinner here, so beware!

Hostal D´Acuña
Edit ThisThis restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, and a large wine list, although the house wine was not very good at all. Service takes a while but it affords you a nice chance to chat and just soak up the surroundings. Only about 2 blocks from the center of town, this place is easily accessible by walking.
They also offer regional tours and have a hostel.
