Activities

Boat excursions are popular in the Gulfito area due to the healthy presence of the Pacific Sailfish. Sport fishing tours range in price, depending on the time of year and duration of the tour. Full day and half-day trips are typically offered. The dry season, November through May, is superb for fishing in the waters of Gulfito.

Other water activities, such as surfing and kayaking, are popular throughout the beach areas of Gulfito. Playa Zancudo and Playa Pavones are preferred surf breaks. The beaches of Gulfito are a 7 hour drive from the capital of Costa Rica, San Jose, or a 47 minute plane ride.
