Today you will arrive by bus, plane or with the ferry in Puerto Jimenez and you will have time to prepare your trekking trip to Corcovado National Park with Osa Travel Expeditions. You can visit the Golfo Dulce walking just 5 minutes and relax on this beautiful beach in the shade under a palm tree. Overnight: at Hostel Marcelina or similar.
Day 2- Puerto Jimenez – Sirena With a 4 Weel Drive Taxi we will drive early in the morning to La Palma. After a typical Costa Rican breakfast we will go to the river of Rincon. Here we have to cross the river several times and you will have spectacular landscapes. Finally we have to start with our hike and start to hike up to Rio Rincon to Los Patos Ranger Station in Corcovado National Park. After reaching the ranger station of Los Patos we will hike 20 km (12 mile) across the heart of Corcovado Park to Sirena Biological Station on the Pacific Coast. Overnight: dormitory accommodation at Sirena. [Breakfast and Dinner] .
Day 3 – Sirena Biological Station
Exploring the wildlife-rich area around Sirena: hiking early in the morning, canoeing up Rio Sirena; swimming in the crystal clear pools of the Rio Claro; visiting the mouth of the Rio Sirena to see the bull sharks and crocodiles that patrol there; a siesta in the afternoon to rest ourselves for our night walk. Overnight: dormitory accommodation at Sirena. [Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner] .
Day 4 - Sirena – La Leona – Puerto Jimenez
After your breakfast at the Sirena station you will start with your 20 km (13 mile) hike along the southern coastal trail to La Leona ranger station. You continue with a beach walk to Carate where a 4-wheeldrive car will be waiting for you transfer to Puerto Jimenez; Overnight: Hostel Marcelina. [Breakfast]
Day 5 – Next Destination
Back to San Jose or your next destination in Costa Rica. End our services.
