Small town with a wonderful War memorial to honour New Zealand dead of the two World Wars. The jade factory is worth a look around, but you can pick up bargains at the shops further up the street. Be careful how you park on the roadside as you don't get a lot of time. The bar on the crossroads in the centre of town looked very welcoming.
