Larnach Castle

Larnach Castle, NZ's only remaining Castle*, is situated high on the beautiful and scenic Otago Peninsula. Climb to the top of the Castle tower for 360 degree panoramic views from 1000 feet above sea level. From your high vantage point you can see the Pacific Ocean, Otago Harbour and Peninsula, Dunedin City, The site of the Royal Albatross Colony, Yellow-Eyed Penguin nesting areas, Port Chalmers where cruise ships often visit and splendid, breathtaking vistas of the surrounding countryside.

* Cargill's Castle is in disrepair, but can be seen from the road above St Clair.
