Sky City offers a range of dining facilties from buffet to fine dining and Chinese to contemporary cafe style.
Up the Skytower itself there are a choice of two restaurants with outstanding veiws over Auckland city and surrounding suburbs.
The revolving restaurant, Orbit, rotates at one revolution per hour and is the larger of the two. An pacific rim menu usually appeals to everyone.
The Observertory is higher up the tower and, in my opinion, much nicer. With the seafood smorgasboard having indiviually plated portions and the chance to return for the good bits (5 times last visit).
Weigh this up with the free ride up the tower and the NZ$55 is cheap as chips.
