There are some excellent beaches to explore in WA. Probably the best-known beaches are located in the Margaret River area. This does not imply that one can surf on the river because Margaret River is located in the vicinity of Bunbury and has fine beaches for swimming and surfing. It isn’t without reason that some of the beaches have names such as ‘Suicides’, so be prepared. Rottnest Island, just off the coast of Fremantle also offers some excellent surfing possibilities.

Ningaloo Marine Park is found in the Cape Range National Park in Western Australia. Turquoise Bay is found just outside of Exmouth, WA.

Ningaloo Marine park covers one of the largest fringe coral reefs in Australia and is the only one in the world found so close to continental land. The marine park covers more than 4000 square kilometers and extends out to sea approximately 10 nautical miles. It's a wonderful location and offers beautiful beaches, world class diving and family snorkelling. .

Clayton's beach in Mindarie is also a great beach for great waves. but stand up surfers beware, the reef is very shallow and is more suited for bodyboarding. Yeah the stand ups can be dangerous and sometimes it wedges off of the rocks making it hard to survive but sometimes you can pull out of the barrel.
