Day Trips

There are many possible day-trips that you can do, with Melbourne as your base. A trip down the Great Ocean Road could consist of a rather long and rushed day-trip, or a more relaxed trip over a few days. Littered with small seaside towns and beaitiful coastal scenery, it is indeed one of the great places to drive in Australia. For coastal scenery, nothing beats the sights like the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ayrd Gorge close to Port Campbell. If you like lighthouses, there is a splendid one to visit at Cape Otway. Also, there are lovely seaside towns to visit, like Lorne and Apollo Bay.
