Two sites worth visiting to see the factory and taste the wares. Cascade Brewery is the oldest operating brewery in the country, making awar-winning pale lagers. Cadbury's is the site of Australia's favourite chocolate - need we say more?

Salamanca Place

In the heart of the city is Salamanca Place, a row of old warehouses that have been converted to galleries, shops, cafes and bars. Every weekend the Salamanca Market fills the street with tourists and locals perusing the produce, craft and other stalls.

The Shot Tower

The site of shot manufacture in the early colony, this site is of historical interest as well as giving a great view of the Derwent Estuary.

Mt Wellington

Don't visit Hobart without exploring the mountain. If the weather is good, hike to the pinnacle. If the weather is poor, explore the forested slopes. Offers great views in all directions.
