Getting there

Adelaide has a new state of the art international airport which opened in October 2005. Local flights to tourist spots like Kangaroo Island and Port Lincoln leave from this building.  Catch a bus downtown (8kms) to any of the backpacker hostels or low cost hotels. From the city, catch a tram for the seaside suburb of Glenelg (10 kms).
