Although the film 'Priscilla, Queen of the Desert' was partly shot here and one of the tracks on the fellow cd is called 'I Love the Nightlife', it might not have to do a lot with Alice Springs. You'll mostly have to do it with the nightlife that takes its course in the bars.

Experience Australia through the Sound of Starlight Theatre

Head to 40 Todd Mall for an evening of fun and spectacle at the Sound of Starlight Theatre. The performances at the Sound of Starlight Theatre feature the native Australian didgeridoo, percussion and keyboard, performing native tunes to the backdrop of stunning Australian scenery. Tickets cost $30 per adult and $25 per child. You can pair tickets to the performance with dinner at the Red Ochre Grill, which is located across the street, for $75 per adult and $65 per child (includes show tickets). The restaurant features native Australian cuisine and adults get a free glass of wine.

Enjoy Pub Atmosphere at Firkin & Hound

If an old-fashioned pub is more your idea of an evening's entertainment, there's always Firkin & Hound, located at 21 Hartley Street. Definitely more of a place for adults than kids, you won't have to worry about dressing up to fit into this traditional English pub atmosphere. This pub is your place for kicking back a few beers, so don't expect to find a wide variety of cocktails and wines. There's a full menu of soups, salads, steak, lamb, sausage and more. Expect prices to range from about $5 to $6 for appetizers or soup to upwards of $20 to $30 for the meals. The amount of food served per meal is huge, so pack a big appetite. However, the pub doesn't allow you to take a doggy bag home. Smoking is allowed in the pub, so whether that's a plus or a minus for you, keep that in mind.
