Nightlife and Entertainment in Sydney

Sydney is known for its nightlife scene. Although there are already innumerable cafes, bars and clubs, businesses are still booming. Especially in the last few years, the gay and lesbian club circuit has taken over an increasing segment of the clubbing scene, which resulted in some of the best-known (non-exclusive) clubs. It might be an idea to check the local newspaper in order to find out what's going on during your stay in Sydney. Some bars feature live music or stand-up comedians. Otherwise, there is always a play, opera or a film to be seen. Check it out!

If you don't know where to go at the beginning and you just want to go to a few bars or lounges then go to Darling Harbour. It is always something going on there.

The Sheaf

Its in Double Bay, an extremely trendy part of Sydney, it has a great atmosphere, its somewhere you can just relax over a drink with some friends, have an awesome feast, dance, play pool.

It's great every night of the week.

Pontoon

Pontoon gives a lovely view over Darling Harbour, but it's not a hot club. The club is a well known 'singles' bar and therefore the average age is 25 to 30. What’s special is the variation of food that can be served.
