When to Go in Asia

Edit This

This Ipoh when to go guide lists the best times to visit this beautiful west coast city which happens to be the state capital of Perak, Malaysia. There are lots of things to enjoy here like jungle trekking and rock climbing. Exploring the many beautiful caves, like the Perak Tong, Sam Poh Tong, Kek Lok Tong, is another activity. The temperature in Ipoh is cooler as compared to the other cities of Malaysia because it is in the highlands. There is no day that you don’t experience a little rain, so be prepared and bring a light raincoat or umbrella and a warm sweater when you go traipsing to the jungle and caves. The Monsoon Season The monsoon or rainy season in this west coast city is from October to November, and April to May. Try to avoid this season, as the seas can get rough and you cannot enjoy the beach. The downpour is also heavy so you cannot go rock climbing or caving. There is, however, an interesting event to see if you want to go there during this season. This is the incredible sight of tortoises laying their eggs.    The Dry Season The dry season is normally from June to September, and December to March. These are the best times to visit Ipoh. There are of course occasional showers, which is normal in this tropical nation, but nothing you can’t handle. However, if you want to avoid the crowd, do not visit Ipoh in the months of December to January. This is tourist peak season.
