Vinh Travel Guide

Vinh is a rather nondescript city on the coast to the south of Hanoi. It is the centre of some of the poorest areas in Vietnam and thus provides the visitor some insight into the difficulties facing a country emerging from a long period of isolation. While specific sights of note are few and far between in this province, a trip through it provides food for thought. Ho Chi Minh was born 14 kilometres from Vinh and a museum is established in his home town of Kim Lien Village to commerate the fact.
