The city is nestled between a mountain and the Pacific ocean. The mountain is called Chap Chai. It is about 2 miles from the ocean. It is fun to hike this mountain because the paranomic view from the mountain is lovely. Sitting atop this mountain is a beautiful Cham Temple ruins. It is incredible to behold.
The beach is not bad either. It is better than a lot of beaches in the U.S. because you can swim in it any time of year. Be sure to check out the food vendors.
There is a shopping area closer to the beach and it sells almost anything. Just like when you shop at any Chinatown here in the U.S., be sure to bargain a little bit.
Tuy Hoa is known for its hospitable people. They are warm and friendly and love tourists. The food is amazingly good. Tuy Hoa people can cook delectable food as well as know how to have a good time. However, bring paper napkins because they are not usually offered to you and be prepared to sit on low stools.
The infrastructure is being improved and so it will be a lot better in a couple of years. But you ought to go to Vietnam now because it is still somewhat undeveloped.
Like any country that is improving and making progress, Vietnam is far worse than the U. S. in terms of infrastructure, transportation, hygiene, or, in a word, comfort. Therefore, when you visit Vietnam, please don't too many high expectations. Maybe that way, you'll be able to enjoy the people, the places, and the food more as well as let yourself be pleasantly surprised by its authenticity, honesty and its largely unspoiled landscape.
