In Ninh Binh, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital (in Truong Yen Commune, Hoa Lu District now) was chosen as the first capital of Vietnam feudal centralism regime and the Dai Co Viet ’s political, economic and cultural centre with the name of Kings Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Dai Hanh and Ly Thai To in 10th century. In 1010, King Ly Thai To moved the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long (Hanoi now), opening a new era for Vietnamese people.

Ninh Binh owns beautiful Tam Coc, Bich Dong, Dich Long, Hoa Son, Tien caves, Van Trinh Grotto and other special landscapes following:

Cuc Phuong National Park is home of varies of strange flora and fauna. Especially it is enjoyable to touch the thousand-year-old cho xanh (parashrea stellata) and sau (Dracontomelum Duperranum or Dancorra Edulis) trees, 50-70m high. The park is also suitable to watch birds, butterflies and orchid flowers.
Phat Diem Cathedral is a solemn and interesting architectural complex, reflecting the skilful and excellent stone carving art of the Vietnamese workers.

Ninh Binh’s people have created such famous and traditional products as Kim Son ’s fine arts, Hoa Lu ’s high-class embroidery, hanger products and rocky sculpture products for export, Gia Vien ’s rattan and bamboo knitting products, etc…

9:00 AM Depart from your Hotel in NinhBinh. Take a rowing boat a long the tiny canal throughout the rice fields to visit Tam Coc Three caves (4 hours). Lunch at a Restaurant in Tam Coc. Continue to visit Dinh King and Le King temples Hoa Lu old citadel and Ban Long pagoda in the quite countryside. 5:00 P.M: Back to Hotel

Full day visit to Cuc Phuong National Park.

Depart from your Hotel in NinhBinh at 8 A.M. 1 hour by bus to Cuc PhuongNational Park, Get deep inside the park. Do trekking through the primary forest for 4 hours. You will see the pre - historical man cave, explore the fascinating wildlife and enjoy the natural songs of many different birds... you may also carry out an adventure tour through the forest with our guide. Day 1 Hanoi -Tam Coc - Bich Dong - Hoa Lu
8h00 depart to NinhBinh by bus for 2 hours. Arrive Hoa Lu temple. visit the Dinh Tien Hoang temple & Le Dai Hanh temple. 12h30 lunch at Tam Coc restaurant. Have rowing boat trip along Ngo Dong river that take you through the three marvelous caves - Tam Coc. Visit Bich Dong pagoda. Overnight at Thuyanh hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 2. Ninh Binh - Phat Diem cathedral
Morning: 7h00 breakfast. 8h00 departure to Phat Diem.
On the way, stopover at the memorial of sacrified soldiers, brick kilt, sea grass product makings of villagers.12h00 arrival at Phat Diem. 12h30 lunch at restaurant.Afternoon: 3h00 walking to the cathedral to join the daily Mass of the catholic people held at 4h00 pm . return to hotel in Ninhbinh.

Day 3. Ninh Binh -Hanoi
Visit to sea grass factories, handicraft families. 12h00 arrival at Ninh Binh Lunch at 12h30. 2h00 pm bus transfer back to Ha Noi.( tour bus from Tam Coc)

01 Day Tour – Depart from Hanoi

* It is a lovely area, one of the best places to see river life in northern Vietnam. People here seem to spend most of their lives floating on Water. Even the children commute to school by boat. The locals are very friendly. The children gleefully shout “ Tay oi !” ( Westerner ) at every tourist they see, even vietnammese tourist. How much longer can it last ( Written on lonely planet book Page-176 ). Nowhere like this, There is very few tourist here. You should go now before the masses of tourists come, A traveller said.

8:00Am pick up from your hotel or our office in Hanoi. Take a bus for 2 hours, enjoy the nice landscapes of countryside on the way. Arrive Ninh Binh at 10:00 Am. Stop to Visit Hoa Lu temple – the ancient capital & the two remaining temples of Dinh and Le Kings. Then Drive to Van long’s harbour for a rowing boat trip around natural caves & Grottoes on a small stream ( for 2 hours ). Admire wild & beautiful scenery. Boat take you to get inside & visit Bong cave. Back to the Harbour. Have lunch in a cosy stilt house of the locals.

1:00 Pm Keep going on bus to Kenh Ga’s harbour. Get on a motorboat & run down to Hoang Long river to witness the interesting life of a floating village on the Hoang long river. ( people in Kenh Ga row boats with their feet, leaning back and watching the world go by. ( written on lonely plalnet book ). Enjoy the fresh air of the nature & river, see people row boats by their feet. Stop to see floating graveyard on the river & listen the historical story about the martyrs who was died on this river during war time with the American ( 1967 ) from the rowers. Keep going to visit Kenh Ga Hot spring . it is a unique hotspring with a stable temperature or 53 oC containing calcium, potassim, carbon…Which is good for medical treatment. Back to the harbour at 4:00 Pm. Bus take you back Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi at 18:00 Pm. Trip ends.

Day1 : Hanoi - NinhBinh ( L,D)
Depart forHoa Lu (Ninh Binh), enjoying the rural scenery along the road. Visit Hoa Lu old citadel. In the afternoon, take a rowing boat along the tiny canal among the rice fields to visit Tam Coc (Three Grottoes). 16:00 Tour ends. Overnight at Thuy Anh hotel.

Day 2: Ninh Binh - Cuc Phuong - Mai Chau( B,L,D)
AM: 7.30 leave for Cuc Phuong National Park. Visiting the Endangered Primate Rescued Centre at 9.00 am. Go trekking about 7km to see 1000 ycars old tree, and the real primitive forest in Viet Nam. After 2 hour trekking. have picnic lunch in the centre of the park.
PM: 1.30 pm drive to Mai Chau. Homestay in l.ac village or Mai Chan guesthouse, arrival at 5.00 pm. Dinner at 7.00 pm. Free at night or take part in their traditional festival held on travellers s ’ requests to enjoy folk songs, dancing with Thai people - Mua Xap, pine wine - Ruou Can.

Day 3: Mai Chau - Ha Noi( B,L)
AM: 8.00 am Walking to Thai ethnic minoitty villages to see their lifestyle, culture and stilt houses was built in harmony with marvellous nature. 10.00 am driving to Ha Noi. Having lunch in Man Due town.
PM: 2.00 pm Return to Ha Noi. Stop at Hoa Binh Hydro Power Station
