Prachuap Khiri Khan is a province on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The province also contains the town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. Popular destinations within the province are already listed, Hua Hin and Pranburi, and Bang Saphan and also Koh Talu Island. Just to the north of the province is Cha Am, just north of Hua Hin.
The town of Prachuap Khiri Khan is about 300 km south of Bangkok by modern highway. It can be reached by express bus services from Bangkok and also by regular and express trains the the Prachuap Khiri Khan area.
The town is famous for it's amazing Bay and also the hilltop temple that overlooks the bay. prachuap Khiri Khan offers beautiful scenery and is popular as a stoping point when traveling along the Sunrise Coast of Thailand. Accommodation in the town is limited but it makes for a good off the beaten track place to visit along the coast if you are beach hopping down the Sunrise Coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The next main town south is Chumphon from where boats go to Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.
