Chalong Travel Guide

Chalong is in the South East of Phuket, it's the armpit of Phuket more or less. But a lot of foreigners live here to get away from the BS rules and regulations of their overdeveloped western home country. There is two reasons a tourist visiting Phuket may want to visit Chalong. First, it is where all the boats depart from. So if you are going to one of the many nearby islands on a dive or snorkeling trip, then you will most likely depart from Chalong. And second, there are a number of good seafood restaurants here along Ao Chalong, Chalong Bay. Fresh crab, lobster and fish, still live.
