Nai Harn beach

Situated at the southern tip of Phuket island, Nai Harn beach, is in my opinion the best family beach in Phuket. Its big enough and not to crowded to make frisbee and other beach games an option, the water is shallow making it safer for children and weaker swimmers and the shape of the bay shelters it from the prevailing winds and waves. There are plent of restaurants along the tree line at the back of the beach, so enjoying a snack or meal in the shade is an option, and the prices are lower than other areas as well. There isn't more..

Surin Beach Phuket

A upmarket beach resort 15 km north of Patong Beach on the westside of the island.

Kamala Beach Phuket

A beach 10 km north of Patong Beach on the westside of Phuket. Popular beach on Phuket north of Kamala and south of Surin. Many hotels and resorts.

Patong Beach Phuket

Phuket's main beach. Very busy. Patong beach Phuket has a large number of restaurants, bars, night clubs, also street stalls, shops and shopping mall, the largest being Jungceylon. Patong beach has guesthouses, hotels and resorts. A very busy and often crowded beach area on Phuket

Kata Beach Phuket

A nice beach area in the southwest of Phuket. It is divided into Kata Yai and Kata Noi. A lot of upmarket beach resorts.

Rawai Beach

While this beach isn't the best for swimming at, it has some of the best seafood on the island. It can be reached by tuk tuk from anywhere on the island.

Rawai Beach is set away from the touristy areas of Patong, on the southeast side of the island. There are many cheap seafood restaurants where you can eat Thai style on the beach.
All the seafood is caught fresh each day, which can be seen from the beach by the numerous fishing boats offshore.

There are also boats for parasailing, fishing, snorkelling more..
