Koh Mak is a smaller island situated between the better known islands of Koh Chang and Koh Kood. Most of the island is still in the hands of 5 families that have been living there for centuries, but under their control as well as under control of some off islanders there has been some sustainable developments in recent years. The island now has approximately 20, mostly small, resorts along all of it's 4 main beaches.
