Singapore's hotels run the full range from five star hotels down to dormitories in guesthouses catering for budget travellers. All international hotel chains maintain hotels in Singapore. When competition is high, the big hotels offer large discounts. Most major hotels are concentrated around Orchard Rd. There also several 4 and 5 star hotels located along the belt of Singapore River. There are also several 4 star hotels located withn walking distance in Chinatown vicinity (Havelock Road). Also, there are few 4 star hotels in the Central Business District (Shenton Way)  

Most of the budget hostels are located in Bencoolen Street and it is just a short distance from Orchard Road. There is a variety of dining options within a few minutes walk, some of which are open 24hrs. You need never go hungry in Singapore.
