Tree in Lodge

Tree in Lodge is a brand new hostel located within 5 minutes walk from Bugis MRT station, a popular shopping and heritage district in central Singapore. There are many heritage walks and places of interest in the vicinity, such as Bugis Street Market, Little India, and Kampong Glam. It's great for travellers keen to explore the rich cultural heritage of Singapore and Asia.

Bugis is also known for its lively night markets and variety of food and one is spoilt for choice by the options available within minutes from the hostel. However, the immediate area around the hostel itself is quiet by 11pm so there'll be adequate rest for the weary backpacker. For the avid cyclist or naturalist keen to explore places off the beaten tracks, the owners are also very helpful with their knowledge of the options available in Singapore. Information to local nature destinations, ecotourism operators in Asia, natural food stores and other 'green' businesses can be obtained from the owners, who are also seasoned backpackers.

All dormitories are air-conditioned and each guest is equipped with his/her own locker. The beds are also installed with curtains for greater privacy. There is also a female-only dormitory and toilets/showers.

A common area with Internet access, books, lounge, kitchen, and games is also available for use for free. The hostel is accessible via security card access so guests can come in/out at any time.

The unique feature of the hostel lies in its environmentally-friendly practices. The hostel has a contract with SembWaste to ensure that all materials collected in the recycling receptacles are actively and properly recycled. Only non-toxic cleaning products and energy-efficient appliances can be found. The accommodation is great for the responsible traveller.
 
The price per night includes the use of a bed (with linen and blanket), free Internet access, use of the common area, locker, and breakfast.
