such as beaches, jungles, museums and aquariums. Olongapo is a modern city with a population of over 227,270 people. It was
occupied by the United States navy before gaining independence in 1959.
The city has implemented crime and cleanliness programs which are
internationally renowned. The city's development and management programs have won
it many awards, making it a pleasant tourist destination to visit.
Beaches
There are many beautiful beaches to visit in Olongapo and with the city's programs in place the beaches are kept clean. Baloy is a note worthy beach that is popular among tourists. A suggested activity is to take a picnic and watch the breath taking sunset at Baloy Beach.

The jungle boasts an abundance of sites that are a must see for visitors to Olongapo. The El Kabayo Equestrian Center is located in Subic Bay Freeport. The stable has many top quality horses for professional riders as well as trail rides for tourists. The trail rides offer a good way to explore the jungle and there are rides to Kabayo Falls. Rides typically last for 1 hour. There are rides available for different age groups and different skill levels.
Friendship Park
Friendship Park is located near the Subic Bay Freeport and Perimeter Road. This park is a good place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There is also a playground for children located at this park.
Olongapo City Museum
Olongapo City Museum was founded in 2003. The artifacts on display at the museum offer more information on the history of the city. There are exhibitions of beautiful artwork that illustrate the local culture. When entering the museum visitors can see the Ulo Ng Apo statue.
