Subic Bay
There are a lot of things to do in Subic Bay for the whole family. This place is perfect for a day of fun at the crystal clear beach. You can also enjoy duty-free shopping at Subic Bay. As for the seniors, the golf greens are sure to make their stay in Olongapo more worthwhile. The kids will enjoy watching car racing and skating. There are delightful foods to eat which can be found at various restaurants around the area.
Pamulaklakin Nature Park
From the word “Pamulaklakin” meaning “to bloom,” the Pamulaklakin Nature Park really comes into bud in terms of boosting the tourism with the grand jungle tours it offers. The jungle renders a great experience for kids to exercise their youthful spirits, and parents to enjoy the green scenery and various animal species. This park is great for mountain hiking and working out techniques on how one can survive in a jungle, which is a good sum of knowledge for the whole family in case of emergencies.
Olongapo City Museum
Olongapo was a significant municipality during World War II in terms of Philippine history. Having been founded in 2003, the Olongapo City museum showcases many artifacts that are of great historical importance to the city itself. Various artworks are displayed to exhibit the talents the local and national artists have. The Ulo Ng Apo statue is exhibited at the entrance of the museum, as a tribute to the city.
Cubi Point Zoo
Cubi Point Zoo is a small sanctuary of an assortment of birds, snakes, wild pigs and aquatic animals. This is the place where the whole family can enjoy the company of butterflies at the Butterfly Garden, as well as the native animals like the mighty Philippine Eagle and cute sea turtles. Jungle survival lessons are also a must-try at the zoo.
Rizal Park
Rizal Park, an accolade for the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, is the oldest open park in Olongapo where local gatherings and meetings are usually held. The park is a home for hundreds of trees and a great place to relax with your family.
