Olongapo City is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the province of Zambales, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 194,260 people in 43,107 households. The name Olongapo is derived from the phrase "Ulo ng Apo" in Tagalog, which means "head of the chief".
