Family Travel Ideas in Negros island
Edit ThisAquino Freedom Park
Freedom Park was named after the great Ninoy Aquino of the Philippines. The park is situated in the front of the main capitol building of Negros Island. It is common to see performances and festivals that are sponsored by the local government. In the afternoons families flock to the grounds of this park and they have picnics. Children play various games and often school children perform their dance or sports routines in this park. People should note that because Aquino Freedom Park is a family-oriented place alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
Antulang
Now, for those lovers of adventures the southernmost part of Negros Island has lots to offer. Here the family can go deep sea diving. Kids (if they are fond of the water and dolphins, of course) can swim with the dolphins. The older kids and parents can enjoy a great horseback ride. Now, for the very adventurous kayaking is a possibility. It should be noted that while this activities are tons of fun, safety should be the number 1 priority.
Silliman University
Silliman University is a higher education institute of the Philippines. It has 3 museums, the Museum of Anthropology, the Marine Mammal Museum and the Gonzalez Biology Museum. The museum has different exhibits that are used to show the prominence of indigenous tribes in the Philippines. The museums are a way of promoting the cultural identity of the Philippines. Here children can learn about nature, the marine life of the species found in the Philippines and the culture of this country.

referred as being the horns for Negros Island. There are many lakes in the
basin of these peaks. There are also 2 twin crater lakes in Balinsasayao. One
